Haskill Lately: Looking back at 2024 and onto 2025, spending time with friends & family, and falling in love with Rōz haircare!
December 31, 2024
Hello and Happy Tuesday!
What a fun and snow-filled holiday season it’s been! We’ve been enjoying spending time outdoors, early movie and game nights with our families, and soaking in the magic of winter–hello Hygge! (And, in Carrie’s case… enjoying the sun in Florida!) It’s been so wonderful to see so many new (and familiar!) faces in the store, and we couldn’t be more grateful for what the past year has brought us, and simultaneously more excited for what we hope 2025 holds.
We took some time to think about our best moments of 2024, like opening our downtown store, and welcoming our smallest team member, and shared them here. We also shared our “wrapped” on Instagram, if you haven’t seen it yet check it out here!
New in store–we’re super excited to be carrying the Roz haircare line. We’ve been using it daily, and bonus… their serum contains hyaluronic acid–our perennial favorite ingredient. Other favorite product lines we brought in, in 2024? Natureofthings, Pendulum, & Ere Perez… to name just a few!
Since it’s New Year’s Eve… we had to do it. We’re going to talk resolutions, but with a Haskill twist.
If you were following along with us last year, you’ll know that we took a “one small change” approach to the new year in 2024. No one is perfect, least of all us, and it can seem daunting (and frankly, totally unrealistic) to do a complete makeover of your life in the new year. But alas, for whatever reason, that’s what it often feels like we need to do. NOPE. Last year we decided that we were going to pick one thing and try to stick to it for the month of January, in hopes that it would become a habit, or at least change our behaviors slightly. You can read about that, and the Atomic Habits book & theory here.
This year, we looked at the top resolutions that people typically make, and we’re putting our take on them in our 2025 New Years Resolutions series. First up, we’re looking at three resolutions that we’re categorizing under “The Mingle Project”. If you’re unfamiliar with the Mingle Project, it’s an initiative by Michael Smerconish, a Sirius XM radio and CNN television host, aimed at addressing societal polarization by encouraging people to engage with others that hold different perspectives. Resolutions that we put in this bucket include traveling more, spending more time with family and friends (maybe even ones you disagree with!). You can check them out here.
If your resolutions include resetting your health in the New Year, you might be interested in trying out the Kroma 5-Day reset. Colette did this reset this fall, and felt SO great afterward. She’s planning to do it again in January. If you want to join her, we’re offering a great deal on the resets this month! If you buy one kit, you can get a second kit for 50% off. These are available for pre-order only, which you can do by emailing here.
Cheers to a wonderful year ahead!
