Haskill Lately: Discovering Your New Skincare Routine, Balancing Your Gut Microbiome & an Update to April Hours
Spring is definitely starting to show up around here, and we’re leaning into it. This time of year always feels like a natural reset, and behind the scenes we’ve been doing a bit of that ourselves—refreshing the store, the Wellness Bar, and taking time to reconnect with the products we carry.
Twice a year, we bring our entire front-line team together for in-depth brand trainings. It’s something we really value—not just so we can stay sharp, but so we can continue to be a resource for you when you walk through our doors. When we recommend something, we want it to come from real understanding, not just surface-level knowledge. We’ll be closed April 12 & 13 for that training (both retail + Wellness Bar), and there are a few additional closures later this month as we prep for a busy summer season.
We’ve shortened store hours through Memorial Day (8 AM – 6:30 PM Monday through Saturday, and 8 AM to 6 PM Sunday), but the Wellness Bar will continue to operate 8 AM -4:30 PM daily. We’ll also be closing the Wellness Bar April 26–29 for a bit of a menu refresh—something we’re really excited about—while the retail store remains open. As always, you can find the most up-to-date hours on our Google profiles, and we’ll continue to share updates on Instagram and in-store.
On the product side, we recently brought in a new kit from Facile, and it’s quickly become a staff favorite. If your skincare routine has started to feel a little overcomplicated, this is a good reset point. Their approach is simple—cleanse, hydrate, treat, moisturize—but really well done. The Discovery Set is especially useful if you’re not sure where to start, since it lets you try the full routine along with targeted serums to see what actually works for your skin. It’s one of those lines that makes skincare feel approachable again.
We’re also continuing to expand our education around gut health, which is something we’re getting more and more questions about in-store. Our latest post dives into gut dysbiosis—what it actually means, what can throw things off (stress, diet, lifestyle), and how it can show up in ways you might not immediately connect to your gut, like skin issues, mood shifts, or low energy. The encouraging part is that it doesn’t have to be complicated—small, consistent changes can go a long way in restoring balance.
Happy Spring, and we hope to see you in-store soon!
