Haskill Lately: Winter Skincare, Community Nights & a Little Extra Glow
Winter skin care has definitely been on our minds lately. Between cold Montana air, wind, and constant shifts between outdoors and heated spaces, our complexions are working overtime this time of year. If you’ve been dealing with dryness, irritation, sensitivity, or that mid-winter dullness, you’re not alone. We’ve been thinking a lot about how to support skin in ways that actually strengthen it — not just temporarily soothe it.
One of the biggest shifts for us has been better understanding the skin barrier. Instead of layering product after product, we’ve been asking: is our skin in supportive mode, or does it need reconstruction? In our latest post, Supportive vs. Reconstructive: How to maintain a healthy skin barrier, we break down the difference between supportive products that strengthen your skin’s natural defenses and reconstructive treatments that help repair damage. If you’ve ever wondered why your routine suddenly stops working in winter, this guide makes it all make sense.
We’re also supporting dry winter skin in a more immediate way by partnering again with a brand we truly love: Ursa Major. Their Alpine Rich Cream is one of our favorite deeply hydrating moisturizers for colder months — rich enough to restore the skin barrier, but never heavy or greasy. To celebrate the partnership, we’re gifting a free Alpine Rich Cream to the first five people who spend $150 in-store this week. It’s one of those products people come back for every winter.
And because healthy skin doesn’t just happen topically, we’re thinking about skin support from the inside out, too. Our Glow’n Up Smoothie at the Haskill Creek Wellness Bar has been on repeat lately — packed with organic berries, coconut water, Greek yogurt, collagen, Tremella mushroom, chia seeds, and raw honey. It’s loaded with ingredients that support hydration and glow from within. You can explore the full Wellness Bar menu here.
Finally, we’re looking forward to gathering in person. This Friday, we’re hosting Gallery Night at Haskill Creek from 5–8 PM, featuring Montana artists Tessa Heck, Justin Kauffman, and Tarek Penser. If you’re in Whitefish or the Flathead Valley, come join us for an evening of art, small bites, sips, and community connection. You can read more about the event here.
As always, we hope to see you around the store very soon–thank you for reading for connecting with us in person & here on the blog.
