The sun is shining and the snow is sparkling — and New Year’s is right around the corner. There’s something about this moment in winter that feels especially hopeful: the days slowly getting longer, fresh snow underfoot, and that quiet pause before routines pick back up again. At Haskill Creek, 2026 feels full of possibility — not pressure — and we’re leaning into that energy as we head into the new year.
Rather than rushing into resolutions or reinvention, we’re choosing to start the year with intention, curiosity, and connection. This week on the blog, we’re sharing what we’re looking forward to at the store, how we’re rethinking traditional New Year’s resolutions, drawing inspiration from local creativity, and taking a fresh (but realistic) look at skincare as part of a holistic wellness routine.
First up, we’re giving you a peek at what’s ahead for Haskill Creek in 2026. From new products we’re excited to bring in, to thoughtful updates in the store, to more opportunities to gather as a community, the year ahead is shaping up to be one of growth. Transparency, quality, and supporting brands and people who genuinely care about what they’re creating will continue to guide everything we do.
We’re also reflecting on the idea of New Year’s resolutions — and why they don’t always work the way we hope they will. Instead of setting rigid goals that can feel overwhelming by February, we’re exploring a softer approach: paying attention to what feels supportive, sustainable, and aligned with real life. It’s less about becoming a “new” version of yourself and more about tending to what already feels good and meaningful.
Creativity plays a big role in that reset, too. This week we’re highlighting local artist Tessa Heck, whose work many of you may already recognize from the shop. Her reflections on creativity, calm, and intention are a beautiful reminder that slowing down and making space — whether through art, movement, or quiet moments — can be incredibly grounding. If you haven’t spent time with her prints in the store yet, consider this your nudge.
We’re also resetting our skincare routines with the new year, with a focus on nourishment rather than perfection. Our conversation with skin expert Julie Westdal reframes skincare as an extension of overall wellness — one rooted in education, consistency, and listening to your skin. It’s a refreshing reminder that glowing skin isn’t about chasing trends, but about building habits that support you long-term.
And finally, something we’re especially excited about as we head into January: more delicious, nourishing food at the Wellness Bar. Many of you already know and love our smoothies, coffee, and coffee-alternative offerings — and if you’re new, you can always check out the menu to get acquainted. Starting in January, we’ll be expanding our grab-and-go options to include protein-forward favorites like chicken salad, egg salad, vegan cowboy caviar, and more, alongside our already-available soups of the day.
Whether you’re popping in between errands, heading to work, or just need something quick and healthy, we’re aiming to make the Wellness Bar an easy, reliable stop in the new year — especially for those busy winter days when cooking feels like too much.
As we step into 2026, we’re grateful to do it alongside this community. Thank you for reading, stopping by, supporting thoughtfully made products, and showing up — exactly as you are. Here’s to a new year that feels grounded, nourishing, and full of possibility.
